I found the website Crashpadder.com which is great for those who want to find a room for a bargain price in 774 cities and 54 countries! The rooms tend to be spare rooms in other peoples’ houses so they are not hotels geared to rip you off… however, be careful you don’t find that the house owner is some nutcase!

I went out for dinner with some friends last night to a really fabulous Japanese grill place. The food was fantastic.. it was like a sushi restaurant except that what was being served is not sushi.. the food comes in the little bite sized portions like sushi comes in but most of the food is grilled with delicious little portions.
Anyway, what was even better was that my friends had a 2-for-1 deal on the place. There were 6 of us and it knocked £60 off the bill. They said that this scheme has been going for a while now.. and is called Taste London. Basically, it’s a card which you sign up to and offers 50% discount in over 800 restaurants.
