As a student 10 years ago in London, I remember the first Wagamama which was set up at the bottom of Gower Street. The food was great and at student affordable prices. I am still keen on the place and still frequently visit. A plate of Yaki Udon with Elderflower and a few of the Gyozas do the trick!

I apologise that this post will only really benefit those students studying in London, UK but I hope it can also provide you with an idea for something similar in your area.
When I went to University, I suddenly found myself surrounded by girls, girls and more girls! Not because I was particularly attractive or anything but because the previous school I went to for a boys school…. I was also there for 4 years. I remember that there was a female French teacher who had an affair with one of the boys but other than that, nothing, zilch.. no females at all.
So, when I became a University student, the vast proportion of them were single (at least, in the first term anyway).
As a student, I didn’t have much money so I would think of where to take them on dates… needless to say, my dates were always constraint by budget and weren’t particular romantic.
However, one place which I never took a girl to is Borough Market near London Bridge, London (in the UK). This place is a food market and is rather quaint with plenty of character. There are some really exotic foods to delight your taste buds.
However, as a poor student, fret not! You may not be able to go for the chorizo burgers or ostrich baps but you can still walk around with your date and sample all the foods on offer. There are so many exquisite foods which the market traders are happy to allow you to sample and by the time you hae gone round and tried a bit of everything, you would not only have had a romantic and cultural date but your stomach would be full!
Borough Market is a fantastic experience and should impress your date unless he or she is some sort of freako!

As I mentioned, even if you’re not in London, you should be able to find something similar in your home town. Have fun!
