I went out for dinner with some friends last night to a really fabulous Japanese grill place. The food was fantastic.. it was like a sushi restaurant except that what was being served is not sushi.. the food comes in the little bite sized portions like sushi comes in but most of the food is grilled with delicious little portions.

Anyway, what was even better was that my friends had a 2-for-1 deal on the place. There were 6 of us and it knocked £60 off the bill. They said that this scheme has been going for a while now.. and is called Taste London. Basically, it’s a card which you sign up to and offers 50% discount in over 800 restaurants. Just to let you know, I have no affiliation to this company .

Today I received an email with a whole heap of deals at places to eat…. great in times like this when finances are hard to come by:

• YO! Sushi – Buy five plates, get another five free – Click ‘n’ print an online voucher

  YO! Sushi is doing buy five, get five free, on plates of food. So buy a minimum of ten dishes and the cheapest five will be free. Print off this voucher and take it with you to your nearest YO! Sushi to take advantage. Plates cost between £1.70 and £5, so a typical meal for two would cost £15 under the offer.

Tapas restaurant La Tasca’s offering £5 off a bill of £10 or more when you ‘join its club’ and agree to receive its email newsletter.
